  MOC: Kedleston Hall

Kedleston Hall is a classical 18th century mansion in Derbyshire, UK. I've modelled it in LEGO, and you can see the results here: (URL) front is largely accurate, excepting the lack of sculpture and the fact that I've compressed the staircase so (...)   Tunnel Mouth / Bridge Arch

The tracks from the Snowmobile 8272 and Bulldozer 8275 make a great tunnel mouth or bridge arch - smoother than using slope bricks. (URL) used 27 links at the moment, fixing them twice on each side. The arch as built fits well over 6-wide, 8-wide or (...)   Torii Gate vignette

Having now already been highlighted on (URL) and (URL) (thanks!), I thought I'd try to get around to posting my first vignette; and first lugnet posting. A Torii gate marks the entrance to a spiritual place. Hundreds of these structures can be found (...)   Re: My new buildings

(...) Hi Ludo, I just love the footprint shape of the city hall building. Also, the light grey arches inside the white arches on the dormar(?) on the roof is great! I did not know that they could work in that manner. The brown house looks great as (...) (17 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, FTX)

  My new buildings

Hi, I waited for my Brickshelf folder to be public before writing this message. I build past year 2 new buildings. The first one is build after pictures,a few short video fragments and a plan scale 1/25 from the street facing walls. This was the (...) (17 years ago, 4-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX) !

Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) Depends... I usually work from original building plans and LOADS of pictures. I try to do most things to scale, which keeps me from making huge mistakes :D (...) Ehhh well there are a few projects in various stages at the moment, I will only (...) (17 years ago, 2-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) Enjoy? I sure did! Nicely done... funny as it seems, I think "modern" (at least for me) is very difficult to pull off well (in the brick). Do you have your next building already picked out??? Janey "Red Brick" (17 years ago, 2-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) I used mainly stacked plates and bricks... there's a bit of SNOT to get the Window row fall back ½ stud, the rows right of the window are jumper plates and plates, held by invisible technic bricks. (...) The building was pretty much 1:40 all (...) (17 years ago, 30-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) I like this a lot. It's a great choice to build in Lego and you've pulled it off most admirably. I particularly like the way you've simulated the spiral using studs out tiles (unless my eyes decieve me). My only crits are that it's perhaps a (...)   Finally online : Cafe De Unie

I finally managed to post my last (may/june 2006) MOC online : Cafe De Unie, an architectural masterpiece by JJP Oud, built in 1925 (and rebuilt in 1986) (URL) Jan-Albert van Ree | (URL) (17 years ago, 29-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town) !

  Re: new moc: cantilevered house

(...) thank you. i really love that piece and hope it'll appear sometime soon in other colours. unfortunately, i think it has a design flaw. it should be attached to a plate rather than a brick, and then it would be even more versatile. i've also (...)   Re: new moc: cantilevered house

  Re: new moc: cantilevered house

(...) thank you. i must admit the exterior landscaping did not live up to the potential that the house design might have had. i really had hoped for better, but definitely, a castle was never in the plans. ;) -§ deborah §- (who will stick to soft (...)   Re: new moc: cantilevered house

Fantastic job. When I first saw the exterior shot of the living room window, I started humming the haunting music to Alfred Hitchcock's "North by Northwest". I was somewhat reminded of that night-shot of the outside of the Frank Lloyd Wright house (...) (18 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)
