  Re: Griswold Place

(...) I really like it! It looks like a real building. The colors are perfect. I would have attempted to use brown 1x2 log bricks instead of 1x2 regular bricks for the corners to add some (more) detail. The inner court yard is impressive. I like the (...) Wow, very nice work Chris. You've created a impressive sturcture with a simple design. I'm sure it will make a great addition to the club layout. jt (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Griswold Place

Hello peoples, here is one of my latest buildings. It will be appearing in our next train show in 2 weeks along with being entered in the ISCC. The building is based on one in downtown Detroit that my company is helping to restore. After seeing John (...)   Re: New MOC: Artist's Studio Retreat (ISCC Entry)

(...) I must say, the model does successfully capture the "feel" of a Le Corbusier building. I went to Clemson Univ. in Clemson, South Carolina for architecture (or "architorture" as we called it); a lot of the professors were heavily into the (...) (...) One word: Marvelous! The design is innovative, and the way you were able to capture the feel of the model and sketches in Lego is amazing. I am not a big fan of "modern" architecture, but this building is spectacular. Henry (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: New MOC: Artist's Studio Retreat (ISCC Entry)

(...) Bram, Wow, what an original MOC, I like it. I don't think I've seen a MOC anything like it before. The only minor quibble I have is that the studio area could be bigger. Thanks, George (23 years ago, 26-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build.contests)

New MOC: Artist's Studio Retreat (ISCC Entry)

Well, after 5 days or so, my entry still isn't up on the ISCC website, so I decided to go ahead and post the pictures on my own site. My entry is a modern architecture studio on the beach, designed in the style of architect Le Corbusier: (URL) (...)   Re: Bricktopia Park Train Station

Nice work, Brad. I especially like the look of the white half domes inside the transparent domes. I love those LEGO public transportation systems that keep minifigs from walking those one, two, or maybe three blocks they would otherwise have to. (...)   Re: New Chateau MOC

Hi Jonathan, Thanks for the compliments. Unlike a lot of other models of mine, this one could actually be built (except with more "normal" colors). I didn't use any special pieces. Alas, I don't personally have enough roof pieces to build this one, (...) (23 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Bricktopia Park Train Station

Thanks for the feeback Ross. If you check out the Mayor's "palace" you might note that no kitchen is shown. I guess that one can assume that the kitchen is situated in the other "half" of the building that is not modeled! "Ross Crawford" (...) (23 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch)
