Having now already been highlighted on http://vignettebricks.blogspot.com/ and
http://www.brothers-brick.com/ (thanks!), I thought Id try to get around to
posting my first vignette; and first lugnet posting.
A Torii gate marks the entrance to a spiritual place. Hundreds of these
structures can be found across Japan near Shinto sites and Buddhist temples.
This vignette was made in response to a build challenge in my local club in the
Ottawa, ON area (http://www.parlugment.org).
Enjoy.

| (...) Nice solution. I was currently trying to work out how to make one myself for a project with heavy oriental themes. I think I will be borrowing this One question. How well do the plates stay on top, is it secure or are they just resting on top? (18 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

| (...) Hi, sorry for not responding earlier but that is a brilliant Torii you have there. Beautiful in its simplicity! And very good use of the plates at the top. Any chances of seeing a Shinto temple to complement that? ;) (18 years ago, 5-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)
