A Torii gate marks the entrance to a spiritual place. Hundreds of these structures can be found across Japan near Shinto sites and Buddhist temples. This vignette was made in response to a build challenge in my local club in the Ottawa, ON area (http://www.parlugment.org).

Enjoy.

Hi, sorry for not responding earlier but that is a brilliant Torii you have there. Beautiful in its simplicity! And very good use of the plates at the top. Any chances of seeing a Shinto temple to complement that? ;)
