  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) Wow, thanks for all the compliments. The reception of this project by the community has been great :) As for inspiration...the Citadel idea started to form on the way home from BrickFest 2002 which is when I presented the Temple of (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) Jim, Wanted to congratulate you on getting best castle MOC at BF2003. This citadel is so amazing that you have to see it to believe it and still in person it takes you by surprise. For those who did not see the details, the use of the Galidor (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

Jim, In-freakin'-WOW-ible!!!! You capture the ceremony, tradition, and majesty of a construct that has served generations of communities. Your archigreeblature seems well-thought and consistent, and the simply complex use of nothing more than an (...) (21 years ago, 13-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) As I responded to George, Maelee and I wanted to try a lesser used shape for this design. We agree with you that there is alot of fantastic creations that are square, but it is always nice to try something new once in a while :) That is one of (...)   Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) When Maelee and I started working on the design for this, we both decided to try and come up with some different shapes that haven't been used to much in creations as of late. Maelee mostly came up with the color highlights, so the credit goes (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) Maelee and I are sad you couldn't attend as well, perhaps next year. Thanks for your encouraging words. This project took alot of time this year, but when it finally came together and was sitting on the table at Brickfest, it made it all worth (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

Jim, You did an excellent job on this citadel. It has the combination fortress/ceremonial/beauty that ancient buildings should have. I love the shape of the citadel, the diamond. I love the stairs coming off, and the diagonal corners, it's a fresh (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) Jim, This is a great citadel. I don't recall seeing many diamond shaped ones, it works very well. I like all the black trim you've added, it gives it an eerie, foreign kind of look. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

(...) top folder: (URL) looks awesome! It's so huge! Really amazing, man. I love the details: The water coming from the fountains (fiber optics?)... All the water ways in the place... The colorful gardens... The way you accent areas with dark (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Citadel of Kel-Nuroc

Hi gang, I would like to announce the first public showing of our latest creation at BrickFest 2003, the Citadel of Kel-Nuroc. This Moc began soon after BrickFest 2002 thanks to the ideas/comments made by attendees. Countless hours was spent (...) (21 years ago, 12-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient) !!

  Re: large MOC: camel w/rider

(...) Thanks! The textiles were definitely challenging-- I just meant they aren't closely based on "authentic" models. The trickiest part of the rider was doing the trim on the dress with only two 1x2 orange grilles and a bunch of 1x4 orange plates. (...)   Re: The Brick Testament: Discharges and More

(...) Sexual Discharges Lv 15:16 - Nice touch with the uneaten pizza, very bachelor like. "Hmm, should I eat this pizza? Nah! I think I'll just xxx a bit first."   Re: The Brick Testament: Discharges and More

(...) I just wanted to let you guys know that in the witch-hunting days around 1650-1700 in Sweden there is atleast one documented case of Bear bestaility. The accused walked free thanks to the unlikliness of the whole thing. As did men who were (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)
