Re: The Brick Testament: Rebellion and Repercussions

It looks like Aaron finally got his dessert from Yawheh. Oh wait. When exactly did he sin against Yawheh? Oh, the golden calf. But then, Yawheh killed his two sons for no reason whatsoever. I also don't get how did Moses and Aaron "doubted" Yawheh (...) (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Brick Testament: Rebellion and Repercussions

Hey Brendan, Great as always. Second Rebellion: I really like the combination of Dooku torso with brown arms and legs, black turban, and Madame Hooch's (?) cape. The design of the censers is cool, as is the ground opening. I do think this bolt of (...) (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Brick Testament: Rebellion and Repercussions

(...) Yay! The fire from the cloud looks awesome! Not to mention the background dropping from Mount Hor. I also like how you did the water with pneumatic hoses! I'm no bible expert but was not the Tent of Meeting arranged so the golden thingie (...) (22 years ago, 12-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) struck by the design of this shot: (URL) I really like how the trans-red pieces are rotated off the underlying grid, to give them a non-square layout with respect to each other. Well done! Kevin (22 years ago, 5-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) Hmm. I see that Bricklink does call them cherries. I've got one of these elements and for some reason I thought it was antennas for one of those insects from the Belville sets. I think I got this in an e-bay lot that had some other Bellville (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) As always, great work. It's now my favorite site, on top of my bookmarks. I can't wait to see more! One small question: in the new testament, how come the scene where Jesus meets John the Baptist is not there, but the stories where John is (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) Thanks, David. (...) Thanks. Without using some perspective and depth-of-field trickery, I don't know how else I'd be able to pull off some of these scenes. I mean, who really wants to model the whole Israelite camp with a over a million (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) Thanks, Bruce. (...) Yeah, I had to decide between various larger-than-minifig size figures for this story.   Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) As always, nicely done! Your photography skills are extraordinary--the perspective shots, and the depth-of-field makes for visually stunning photos.   Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

Hey Brendan, Great as always. Giants: LOL on the old-style figs with the big round heads. I've got one of those from my first set (I think it was 111). I had been expecting a bunch of Hagrids or Jack Stones, but these were funnier to me. The use of (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)
