Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) Thanks, David. (...) Thanks. Without using some perspective and depth-of-field trickery, I don't know how else I'd be able to pull off some of these scenes. I mean, who really wants to model the whole Israelite camp with a over a million (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) Thanks, Bruce. (...) Yeah, I had to decide between various larger-than-minifig size figures for this story. Besides what you mentioned, I also considered the LEGO Explore scale people, Technic figs, and Scala folk. At some point I want to make (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

(...) As always, nicely done! Your photography skills are extraordinary--the perspective shots, and the depth-of-field makes for visually stunning photos. The floating cloud is something I particularly liked in this set of additions. Keep up the (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Brick Testament: First Glimpse of the Promised Land

Hey Brendan, Great as always. Giants: LOL on the old-style figs with the big round heads. I've got one of those from my first set (I think it was 111). I had been expecting a bunch of Hagrids or Jack Stones, but these were funnier to me. The use of (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: unknown Castle sites?

(...) (URL)thought you might like the detailed japanese workings ***Thanx! I was actually unaware of this site… The quality of construction and navigation are excellent. There’s some `wicked-sharp` minifig photography and the ‘History’ time-line is (...) (22 years ago, 23-Feb-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.general)

Re: Brick Testament in Dutch newspaper

A non-LUGNET Brick Testament fan just e-mailed me the text of the Trouw article. Here it is in Dutch: ---...--- Trouw - Religie en Filosofie, zaterdag 15 februari 2003 Zelfbenoemde eerwaarde ontwerpt 'steentjesbijbel' redactie religie & filosofie (...)   LEGO Relief Mosaic: PEGASUS

Hi all, Today I completed an all white, Studs Up, 'relief' mosaic of the mythological horse Pegasus: (URL) wrote up an account of it's construction, and any comments or questions are welcome. I hope to take this mosaic as well as several others up (...) (22 years ago, 19-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.announce) !!

Re: Brick Testament in Dutch newspaper

(...) Hi, Jeroen. I'd love to see this article if you do get a chance to scan it. I don't think anyone from this newspaper actually talked to me directly about the website (or asked my permission to reprint the photos for that matter), but I'm (...)   Re: Brick Testament in Dutch newspaper

(...) I can make a mostly-correct vertaling if you don't feel like it. ;) My girlfriend actually gets Trouw delivered, so I may ask her to save it. Oddly it's never struck me as particularly christian, but then my standard for christian newspapers (...) (22 years ago, 15-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)
