Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

Golden Calf highlights: I really like how the calf changes from the first to the second picture as Aaron wasn't finished carving it yet. Nice detail. The design of the calf itself is good. As with your previous cows, the SNOT work lets you use those (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

Hey Brendan, I've only had a chance to go through the first story, The Ten Commandments. Pages are loading almost unbearably slowly, so it took a while. I really like the mountains in the distance in that first picture. I might copy that design when (...) (22 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

  ISCC II Moc: MAYA Land

Hi everybody, Just wanted to interest you all, with the MOC I constructed (well not built due to lack of parts). I was always impressed by the astonishing piramids of the Mayas and wanted to built those for ages. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't (...)   Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

(...) Thanks, John. (...) @8^) As you might guess, that one was pretty brutal in the sheer number of manhours it took to construct. (...) Of course I don't mind. That's very flattering. You can make a royalty check out to the following address... (...) (22 years ago, 28-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

Great work as always! I especially loved the plague of darkness. That one was a classic! And I am using the image of the Hebrews calling to Yahweh for help (when they see the chariots coming) as my desktop wallpaper (hope you don't mind, but I love (...)   Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

(...) Thanks. Your detailed comments are always appreciated, Bruce. (...) According to Numbers 37:14, when the Israelites defeated the Sith-ites, God demanded that they massacre all of them, man, woman, and child, leaving only two left -- a master (...)   Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

(...) Well that's certainly ONE view of what he's doing, yes. Please forgive me for snickering out loud when I read the above paragraph, though. Ronald, you may want to check your assumptions a lot more carefully before you proclaim that you're sure (...) (22 years ago, 26-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

Rev. Brendan, Wow, I am so impressed. I have been collecting Lego for some time now and have worried that I have been to materialistic in my collecting. I have so often thought and prayed to find some way to honor and give glory to God with this. (...) (22 years ago, 26-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

Brendan, Great work as always. Some comments: Egyptians Plundered: Hey, the Egyptians gave them their lightsabers! That'll come in handy when the Israelites want to fight off the Amelikites or the Cannanites or the Sith-ites. Egyptians Drowned: I (...) (22 years ago, 26-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Danish Brick Testament-esque nativity story

(...) Hi, Carsten. Thanks for the update! And the translation! While this isn't quite the admission of their basing all their illustrations on mine that I would have preferred, I'm guessing this is probably the best I'm going to get. I do like their (...)   Re: Danish Brick Testament-esque nativity story

(...) Your point is well taken. There probably are not all that many different orders in which to harmonize the events of the birth narratives. I would have to read Danish or have a good English translation of their site to see if their website was (...) (22 years ago, 23-Nov-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.loc.dk)

The Brick Testament parts the Red Sea

Here's an update :-) They have added this paragraph: Til almindelig orientering så er det tilsyneladende en hobby for mange, at lave forskellige LEGO kreationer, fotografere dem og så gøre dem tilgængelige på Internettet.   Re: Danish Translation: Re: Danish Brick Testament-esque nativity story

Carsten, Thank you very much for taking the time to translate this for me. I have sent them an e-mail in both English and Danish.   Danish Translation: Re: Danish Brick Testament-esque nativity story

Re: Danish Brick Testament-esque nativity story

(...) It is a tricky issue, in that you're right, I don't have any copyright over the text of the Bible.
