Re: New release of Castle series

I believe the prospects for official ancient toy themes relies on popular entertainment. (Personally, I'd rather not see an official one.) Unfortunately that iron has been heated and cooled already. The "Sword and Sandals" genre in the past few (...) (22 years ago, 3-May-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Dear Lego, if you must license, how about the Dragonriders of Pern

(...) Hmm. I'm guessing that gold or bronze bricks would be more expensive than regular bricks. So I think that would make it less likely that LEGO would make them. But, they've made the technic Super Battle Droid, which has blue parts treated (...) (22 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

(...) More fine work. At first, I thought I was reading the same story over again with people passing their wives off as sisters. I always thought it was strange the the Kings in the stories say that someone could have easily slept with the women (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

(...) Thanks. (...) Well, roasted hair, yes. @8^) I was trying to figure out how to represent a big piece of LEGO meat (without having access to the Scala turkey)... Then today I got a package I ordered from LEGO including the new EpII Bounty Hunter (...) (22 years ago, 28-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

(...) Dang, I've got to get me that set. I got a chance to check out the other episodes as well. Very nice. Was Jacob serving his dad some hair? Bruce (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

(...) No, no, the author is very careful to point out that this is a *different* famine than the one in Abraham's time, so see, this is a wholly different story. Isaac just happens to try the same trick to the same king of the same place. But its (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

(...) time to look at the "Isaac's sister" story and will go through the others in detail later. You cheated! You reused your background from "Abraham's sister"! Of course, the story is pretty much a repeat, which was maybe your point. I really like (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

Hi, folks. Still happily plowing its way through the first book of the Old Testament, The Brick Testament updates today with four new stories from Genesis. (URL) There's now a handy "new" link at the top which will bring you to the latest additions (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.ancient)
