Re: Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

(...) Dang, I've got to get me that set. I got a chance to check out the other episodes as well. Very nice. Was Jacob serving his dad some hair? Bruce (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

(...) No, no, the author is very careful to point out that this is a *different* famine than the one in Abraham's time, so see, this is a wholly different story. Isaac just happens to try the same trick to the same king of the same place. But its (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob

(...) time to look at the "Isaac's sister" story and will go through the others in detail later. You cheated! You reused your background from "Abraham's sister"! Of course, the story is pretty much a repeat, which was maybe your point. I really like (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: Bamiyan Buddhas

I hadn't got much further than collecting photos. There were several articles about Bamiyan in the past two years of _Minerva_, a journal of ancient art and archaeology. The editor made one remark I'd like to bring up here (I'll have to retrieve (...) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: God Tests Abraham, and more...

(...) I have two thoughts on that subject: The Reverend has done such a great job of recreating other animals out of standard parts I figured he could put together some kind of Queen Grizzly for this story (same goes for the Talking Donkey). On the (...) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: God Tests Abraham, and more...

(...) Greg, you have no idea how many times per day I get hassled by people coming up to me, grabbing me by the shoulders, shaking me violently, and asking loudly "Why haven't you done my favorite Bible story yet?". Nah, I'm just kidding. This never (...) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: God Tests Abraham, and more...

Re: God Tests Abraham, and more...

(...) Hey Rev., Enjoyed the new stories (as always). If only those Sunday School teachers of my youth could have had access to such story-telling material I might not have been so bored. While I'm enjoying your selection of stories, I have to ask (...) (22 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: God Tests Abraham, and more...

(...) Thanks, Bruce. (...) Actually, due to strange circumstances, I don't actually have an Ep 2 Slave 1, just the minifigs from it. But yes, I very much like having stubbies available for making minifig children. The only other child (other than (...) (22 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: God Tests Abraham, and more...

  Re: Sodom & Gomorrah

(...) There's not a lot of room in the story for showing Lot's daughter's reaction to being offered up to the angry mob, but if you look closely at the photo of Lot making his infamous offer, you can see his daughters through the window: (URL) Smith (22 years ago, 1-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)
