I hadn't got much further than collecting photos. There were several
articles about Bamiyan in the past two years of _Minerva_, a journal of
ancient art and archaeology. The editor made one remark I'd like to bring up
here (I'll have to retrieve it.) It occurs to me that perhaps he also has
photographs...
