Hello Everyone,

I've been meaning to post some pictures of a crane I created to
Brickshelf for some time now and I've just got around to doing it.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=5518

The idea for this crane had been in my head for a long time and I finally
had a chance to make it a reality after I found out Pitsco Dacta had the
tank treads in a service pack.  I built the crane over the course of a
couple of days reworking it a little as I went.  I'm not completely
satisfied with the current layout but I don't have the time right now to
revise it.  I didn't set out to follow any particular scale I just wanted to
design the crane in the manner that TLC designs sets.  Making a set that is
definately paired down, performs the basic functions of what you're modeling
and has dimensions & a form that are generally pleasing to the eye.  So let
me know what you think or if you have any questions.

thanks,
David Peña

WOW! I want one! Do you have a web address for Pitsco Dacta? Thanks for showing your cool Crane. Rick (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

Yeah, one question - got a DAT file for it? ;-) I was just thinking about building a crane a few days ago using the lattice pillar parts, and yours uses them VERY well. (...) -- Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (23 years ago, 14-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)
