In the past I borrowed my sisters old Apple Quick Take 150 Digital camera,
which only has a 640x480 resolution. When I took these images I was not too
concerned about quality because they were intended as personal reference and
to lessen the trauma of disassembly. At the time I had no intention of
posting the images on the web, but now that I have BLAST I feel the image
quality for any future creations should be better. So the bad news is until
I get a better camera this will be the last BLAST update. The good news is
it should not be long before I get one.

Technically the idea of a training mecha came to me from the desire to make
a mecha that was not a combat or lifter/support mecha. The natural
conclusion was a training mecha, which made me think of WWII training
planes, which in turn gave me the idea for the color scheme and the tandem
cockpit and then before I knew it I had a new division for BLAST.

Im not sure what record your referring to: the size of the Invader or the
number of mecha at BLAST? Ether way, I dont think Im quite ready to call
Guinness.

Thanks! Most of the articulation came from the desire for the mecha to hold
the rifle with two hands.

Actually, I was finished the model and was working out poses when I
discovered it could reach its own back. It didnt take long for me to
realize this would be a great spot for ammo clips and the rest, as they say
is history.

I have to admit I dont know where I got this idea, but it was floating
around in my head for a while and it just seemed like an obvious use for an
unmanned vehicle.
