  Re: Emerald Chapel

Thanks for the compliments. I actually had a bit of a hard time with this one. I started out trying to build a big cathedral, but realized I didn't have the bricks, so then I downsized, and downsized again. Then, I thought it would look cool right (...) (...) You've done it again, what an exquisite structure. I probably would not have put trans-green and white together, but it works, and so do the chrome details. (...) WOW! I am really impressed. I love to see trans parts getting used! lol, I personally LOVE transparent parts, but have not really used them as a major part of anything yet. (...) Oh ya, I forgot to mention that I LOVED the use of the bathtub. I have one myself and have never seen it used in anything outside of my collection. I got a real kick out of seeing it in your moc. Mark P (23 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

(...) That is a great looking cathedral...loved the buttresses (support columns on the sides to help hold up the roof!!!) looked very life-like but also very creative at the same time... pretty nice scale too....and I liked how it meshed in with (...)   Re: Emerald Chapel

Some people were asking where I got all those trans-green pieces: The large trans green corner at the back of my cathedral comes in 6199. This set has 2 of them. You may be able to find this for half price in the stores. I've also seen them on (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Hi Ben, The other cathedral is from a completely different city called Aqua-Metropolis. It is an undersea town and can be found here: (URL) cathedral was my first attempt at a large church. Hmm - I never thought about exactly what was supposed to be happening with that implement. It is actually supposed to be a small staff (its a Star Wars lightsaber with a trans-green thingy on the end). I figured that he just waved it around and (...) Thanks Those bath-tubs are hard to use because they are the wrong scale. Previously, I used one as a swimming pool in my hotel resort. Alan hasn't been quite as devilish lately. In fact, he's been lowering rates. I just wish he had lowered them faster.
