If it's this piece :

http://home.att.net/~partsref/images/4737.gif

then, (in black too) I think these are used in M:Tron 6956

As to the question "why name it window", I think they do have the same
profile as the bowed out window that you can make from

http://home.att.net/~partsref/images/6159.gif

and its lower 1/2 counterpart (slopes out instead of in) but I am not
sure
what set, if any, actually used them that way.

The classified ad haul I've been going through today contained a couple
of pieces I would call _really_weird_. They are number 4737 and the
various element catalogs describe them as "Window 4x4x6 outward sloping
corner". These are solid black so I dunno how they can be a window.
Anyone know how these were used, and in which sets?

Hello Kevin,

Some of the sets 4737 was used are 6891 Gamma-V Laser Craft, 6985 Cosmic
Fleet Voyager, and 6952 Solar Power Transporter.  All of these are classic
space sets from around 1986.  All the ones I have are also solid colored and
don't look much like a window.  In 6891 they were used as a pod thing on the
fusalage.  In 6985 and 6952 they are used as supports.
