I understand about the need for a "pure" LEGO solution, but it's amazing what a bit of Letraset or even an inkjet printer on sticky (...) | | | | | | | Yes, that would be sets 487 & 987 for the letters, and 488 & 988 for the numbers (the 400 series came in early/mid 60's, the 900 series came late 60's-early 70's). They may be OK for things like theatre names going vertically or company names on the top of buildings, but at minifig scale, I don't see them as suited for much else, (...)
