I think we have all doctored the odd element.

Ralph,

Don't try to rationalize your behavior.  Just because an element doesn't
fit your standard of 'normal', doesn't make it 'odd'.  Even if it is 'odd',
that's no excuse to mutilate it.

Euphonismizing your actions as 'doctoring' just makes it worse, not better.
You aren't improving the brick, or increasing its quality of existance.

Steve "only has foot-induced mods" Bliss

That's funny Steve. Now I'll split hairs even further...are you saying that
by stepping on elements, that you have modified them "by accident" or that you
have induced modifications to your own feet.

There was a really funny thread a few years ago on RTL that started with
someone asking how to protect a LEGO collection. I wrote in to suggest
scattering bricks in a swath around the collection. This would be a significant
deterrent to bare-footed Ninjas, anyways.

I guess I'm a bit OT for .build now, arent I?

Cheers,

Ralph Hempel - P.Eng
