Thanks so much for the suggestions. I decided to use the Technic turntable
and a layer of tiles that the model rests on. This seems to work fine in
terms of weight although the sometimes the plates of the bottom layer of the
model catch just a little.
I'll try to post pictures towards the end of next week or early the following
week.

| (...) A good start would be the Technic turn table, but that might not support enough weight. You could increase the weight supported by putting wheels around the rim of the turn table (and buy a few 2x2 tile bulk packs to make a smooth track for (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)
