Rick, first of all, you never have to ( and you SHOULD never FEEL you have
to ) explain, condone, justify, or otherwise defend your creations. To
anybody. For anything. I think your models have great merit. Should a nation
at some point in time decide to make a Space faring vessel, it will not be
packed to the limits with "wing dings" and "oh hey, that looks cool. Let put
this on there!" A fin, or extension, is just another thing to be shot off.
Look at our fighting ships today. Everything they have it totaly utilitarian,
and they still look good. I think Rick's ships show a lot time and effort, and
I personally like his carriers and larger ships. Keep it up Rick, a space
fleet always needs a good home to return to.

To you other gents, If you have to say what you said, maybe you could a
less... Condescending way of saying it next time. It's called tact.
Constructive criticism helps us all. Put-downs are uncalled for. And
sometimes, the only difference may be in the way you word something. And
That's all I have to say.

(...) Now *there*s a matter of opinion if I ever saw one. Personally, I'd like all of my creations to look cool (whether they do or not is a totally separate issue), even if they're ugly. For space, IMO, ugly and cool are two different subjects, (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.build)
