One of the latest additions to my website was a pair of VTOLs, the "Thunder" and the "Donar." If you take a look at the Donar, you'll see that I included an attempt at a contra-rotating lift system. Has anyone managed a good looking and FUNCTIONAL (...) (25 years ago, 23-May-00, to lugnet.build)

To me, it looks a lot more like an autogyro that a VTOL (an autogyro is a top-rotored aircraft with a exterior engines that don't power the rotors and no (...) (25 years ago, 23-May-00, to lugnet.build)

(...) counter the torque of the main rotor. This design is (I believe) more popular among Russian designs than any others. Popular helicopter rotor systems include a primary rotor with a tail rotor, two primary rotors on opposite sides of the VTOL (...) (25 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.build)
