If you want a stable rotating section, use 2 of the large technic turntables
(one on each side of the rotating section) and run technic beams (or other
long bricks) through the center hole to keep the front and back from
rotating in relation to eachother. Of course, this will only work on large
scale ships. For smaller scale, use the new town wheels rotating on an
axle.

| (...) Here's a method I used in my (failed?) Omega attempt. Basically, the axle is based upon a 12-long Technic axle piece surrounded by 2x2 round bricks; the rotating section's base is a set of six 2x2->2x2 brackets interlocking with four 2x6 (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)
