I bet they work, I'd have been surprised if your creations did not. I
did not mean to impugn the operation... I instead meant "are these
prototypical" when I said:

Are these triangular wheel/track assemblies for real?

That is, do real farm machines use this trick? I seem to recall seeing a
machine somewhere IRL that had a triad wheel assembly but can't recall
for sure.

(...) Deere and Caterpillar do use tracks on some of their tractors. For older tractors, they offer kits that bolt on in place of the existing hub and tire. Since they use gear boxes to transfer the power from the axles to the track sprockets, they (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)
