I bet they work, I'd have been surprised if your creations did not. I
did not mean to impugn the operation... I instead meant "are these
prototypical" when I said:

That is, do real farm machines use this trick? I seem to recall seeing a
machine somewhere IRL that had a triad wheel assembly but can't recall
for sure.
