I have been playing around with these trying to make usable joints for mecha.
I've found that attaching the shoulder pieces to a technic beam helps, but
honestly I haven't gotten much further. One thing that was helpful was
building the T-rex supermodel. The neck joint is solid and can support quite
a load without falling over.
