Back on topic, has anybody built hand weapons like pistols or rifles?

Nothing that quite resembled a machine gun, rifle or Walther P-38, but I did
make some Star Trek phasers one time, type I (palm-phaser), and type II
(pistol-phaser). Needless to say, they only fired imaginarily.

There was a thread about a shooting Lego machine gun a week or so back. It was
more like a Gatling gun in that it had a crank. I don't recall who built it
but he posted pix on a website. It wasn't authentic-looking but it worked.
