Hello

Have you checked the 856 bulldozer? this one uses 40 tooth gears, and
are 14 holes appart, axle holes included. This one uses 50 peaces per
tread.

The 8851 uses even more, but this tread also goes over two 16 tooth
gears.

You can check the buildingschemes at Kevin Loch's homepage. You can
see the modem will these treads and in the instructions you can see
how much meaces you need.

I bought that set of tread links recently.
N779938 - 36 x Conveyor belt links - $6.25
Actually I received 40 links!  But I still think that's way • expensive...

I had enough to make a tread using 2 24-tooth gears spaced 12 holes • apart
(including the two holes used by the gears)
There was one link left.

Needless to say, I do not have enough to test the 23pip spacing • scenario.

I've been looking at the technic tread links available from Pitsco • and
have one question about them.  How many links does it take to make a
decent set of treads?  For example, how many links are used to make • a
tread with 24-tooth gears at the ends and spaced 15pips from axle to
axle?  with 40-tooth gears and a 23 pip spacing?
