I do have a couple of suggestions about your pictures. Please resize them to be around 1000x750 or 800x600 pixels. If your pictures load faster, more people will look at them and leave comments for you. Also consider placing your mocs on top of the back of a poster (or some other white surface) when taking shots. Removing background information (like your tablecloth) helps us focus more on the creation.

Ben:

The resize thing isn’t a bad idea--I have my camera set for ridiculously huge for a reason--it makes for better pics at printing for 8x10. But, I will try to resize them all over the weekend (at least, the Cruella d’Villa pics) to something a little more reasonable.

As for backdrop--well, that’s also fixable in the long term. In the short term...my next MOC will be awhile in the making, and when it comes to taking the pics I’ll try to set it against a 50x50 grey baseplate!

Thanks for the kind words--

Play Well and Prosper!

Matthew

Hi again--

I don’t like posting to my own posts, but so you all know...I have taken Ben’s advice and gone through both the Cruella d’Villa and the Minifigs on Tour pictures on Brickshelf (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=matthewcrandall9) and resized them to roughly 1000x750 for faster loading. It will take some serious time to resize the Brickfest 2007 pictures simply due to the sheer number of them.

Right now, however, I have to clean a 35 year old 50x50 baseplate--it’s far dirtier than I remembered it being....

Play Well and Prosper,

Matthew
