It's very surreal-looking, I agree. It's what the customer wanted.

Yes, this was commissioned work.
I do get a quite a few requests, but when people realize the scope and
cost, they tend not to be as serious as you would think.
Truthfully, I'd rather work on the projects I want to rather than doing
commissions. It can be quite painful, like bounced checks, customers changing
what they want (which is what happened with this one), and the constant
is-it-done-yet emails.
I've threatened to return the money of two customers because of their
behaviour. There are times it's just not worth it.
It has almost gotten me to the point I don't want to build anymore. I
guess maybe because I've been dealing with bride(zilla)s for the most
part. Otherwise, doing custom work for folks is fine because they really
appreciate it.
Fortunately, I'm able to work on my own projects now (another sculpture)
and that makes it more fun. :)

| Hey Anne, Cute scene. To me it doesn't really scream out underwater, though. In part it's the flowers, as john noted, but also the green ground. In most undersea MOCs I've seen (obligatory self-promotion: (URL) here's my only underwater MOC>), the (...) (18 years ago, 19-Oct-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)
