How much tension are the cables under? Could this Lego model stand without the cables?

This was to have gone up a week ago but things happen. The important part is that is is done and photographed! At first I was going to build a variation of Winter's Study 19 but something happened and that got me thinking "Heck with the variation! (...) (18 years ago, 31-Aug-06, to lugnet.build, FTX) !
