Yes, very similar. Now that you mention them, I think I saw these when you
posted them back in February and thought they were neat. But I can’t say I had
them in mind when I was fiddling around with the macaroni bricks, at least not
on a conscious level--otherwise I would have given you a shout-out for
inspiration.
I’m not sure which designs have more “practical uses”. You wre able to
incorporate a spindled fence patterns into a MOC, whereas I’m not sure I’ll be
able to, say, work a macaroni brick pattern into The Brick Testament as I have
previously done with the headlight brick patterns, which naturally lend
themselves to being floor or wall patterns.
Thanks for pointing out this overlooked connection and likely unconscious
insipration.

| (URL) Same design concept> as what I've done with the (URL) spindled fence> but with more practical uses. If I've got a lot more fences, I could certainly try to use your designs. AC (20 years ago, 6-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)
