Hi Pete,
thanks for your reply.
Some short answers:
|
I did enjoy it, you captured the ornate details on the facade well.
Pity LEGO doesnt make terracotta roof tiles, the red looks too new, but what
can we do :^)
|
I bought new and used slopes for the roof an I mixed them very well. But - you
are right - the roof looks quite new. I tried to use mixed colors on the roof,
but this was too jumbled up.
|
I would have gone for a darker colour of tiles for the flat outdoor areas,
just so the building doesnt blend in too much, but I have no idea of your
tile supply :^o
|
These light yellow tile are only used for these photos. In the dispaly for our
next event in Germany (1000steine-Land in Berlin) Ill use light and dark gray
tiles. The light yellow ones will only be used to highlighten some areas.
|
The tram width looks just right, that new dark grey roof works.
|
The roof is old! dark gray.....
|
You are lucky to have a hometown with such interesting buildings and the
skill to replicate them in LEGO form. Great work !
|
Thanks once more.
