Thanks for your comments! This is only one instance of using non-LEGO parts.
Ususally I would never do this as I always have said - anything can be built in
LEGO. But I really wanted to make this look as realistic as possible, in the
right scale with a real clock, and LEGO chains and a plain clock face didn't
work (I tried, beleive me!).
Both the clock face and the pendulum are the same construction. It has a lot of
snot (is this the right usage?) bulding in it. It has bricks twisted and turned
evry whick way held together with technic pins. Every attempt to put some sort
of numeral delineation, came up lacking. Luckily, there are pre-made clock faces
at craft stores for cheap, and Viola, nice cuckoo clock!
Bad builder, I slap my own hands! :)

| (...) Wow! I can see why you are a professional model maker. This model is a step above even the excellent models displayed here by enthusiasts. I think this is in part due to the artistic flavor of the model. The colors chosen and their placement (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)
