Hello Bill,

We’re glad to have you be a more active member of the group. Like many other
AFOLs, I have enjoyed brief discussions with you at BricksWest and LLCA events.

I see the legomasterbuilder website has been updated to remove your bio.

Yeah, one of my old coworkers told me about that. She thought I would be
annoyed, but really, I find it more amusing than anything. I guess they couldn't
tear their clothes and spit on me, so this was their way of dealing with my
departure! I'm surprised anyone is still checking out the site after the search
was finished! Maybe it will keep updating on the progress of the new guys!

You always contended that the master model builders never “cheated” in
construction.

I will say that I never cheated! As for the rest of them, it is actively
discouraged. The LEGOLAND California shop does not cheat. Denmark on the other
hand......

The new Block of Fame Churchill bust has an obviously modified
element. A 2 X 2 round brick has been cut to angle the cigar in his mouth.

The Churchill in question was originally built by a friend of mine from Windsor.
He is one of the biggest sticklers for NOT cheating! He was quite adapt at
twisting and turning bricks to make things work. A real pain to have to copy,
but never cheated. I would guess that the person who copied the original (8 of
the 12 at LEGOLAND were copied from the ones at Windsor) couldn't figure out how
to do it, so they cheated!

Maybe that’s why you quit at this time?!

Oh no, the reasons why I quit are many and varied, perhaps someday over a
beer.... lets just say, for someone to leave their dream job, something has to
be seriously wrong!

Bill

(...) Can it be spelled gr*y where * is either an 'a' or an 'e'? :) NO! Don't start this debate again, just making some fun! (21 years ago, 25-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)
