This is one of mij buildings, built on a scale 1:25. I would like to know if
there are more people who build on this scale. or another scale than the usual
minifig scale.

Leo,

This is a truly impressive creation. A lot of attention to detail. I like the
roof trim details especially.

Is this a facade, or is there a whole building behind it?

A question about the scale: Do you have photos showing minifigs for comparison's
sake? What I was thinking would help to get a better handle on the scale would
be to see the following next to the building: a standard minifig, a "Jack Stone"
style fig, a Technic fig, and a to-scale figure made out of Lego bricks. This
would provide some contrast with which to appreciate the size.

Thanks for building and sharing.

Alan

Indeed, it is a complete house, even with partition walls for more strength and
supporting the roof.
There are some 14,000 parts used in this blue palace, including 508 white
windows 2x2.

I like this scale because I think it is the most logical. Why? Well, look at a
standard 2x4 brick. It is about 32mm (1-1/4in.). An average doorway is about
800mm (2’ 6")
This is roughly 25 times the length of a normal brick. The height of a doorway
is some 2.6 times the width. That means 8 layers (low doorway) or 9 layers of
brick (more monumental type of door).
It is also a good scale for a stairway. One brick of 9.6mm makes a nice step.

Unfortunately, there are no minifigs or something that fit in this scale. If so,
it has to be about 72mm (2-3/4 inch).

Leo.

(...) You could build figs that are miniland-like, though your scale is just a bit smaller. You could also use Jack Stone/Creator figs, which are about 2-1/4 inches. Many of the Jack Stone figs are too stylized to look like normal people, but the (...) (21 years ago, 7-Sep-03, to lugnet.build)
