    Building an 8880 without the kit —Mark Ferris
   I'm despairing of ever having an 8880 model, so I was wondering how much I could build using parts from other models. I've looked a little at the scanned instructions that are online, but haven't gone through all the pages. How much can I do without (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

   you would have a hard time of it... it uses white suspention arms that are only found in 8880 and no where else. the drive train is mostly generic except for the gear shift which is also unique to 8880. (26 years ago, 9-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

   (...) Doesnt it also have unique steering spindles at the wheels? you can create a different style using other technic parts, say, from the future car.
