Whatever became of Brickenrocker?
Has anyone heard a thing?
Once we jammed with the band, and got quite out of hand
But now I can't...fand a thing.

Once an innovative little web site
But now, when I visit, it's outa sight
Server problems abound, I know
But did that delay kill the show?

"We must republish Brickenrocker!"
Says each Lego guitar plucker
As someone once remarked to Tucker
Drive us on to Kentucker

(Sorry about that.)

Whatever became of Brickenrocker?
Won't you come and strum along?
Whether engaged, or merely enraged
Your site's an ex-page, so to speak

Does Tom, recalling when his server was serving
Reflect upon his page's absense unnerving
Does he say, "it's just a bit of luck"
When he ponders Brickenrocker?

Cheers,

:D

That was great!

Yeah, neotown.com rolled over and kicked up its little legs (what a surprise).
I've thought about FortuneCity but for some inexplicable reason, I don't like
the feel of that place. I've been lazy about updating my new site at
radiotitan.8m.com a FreeServers site. Only the main page is active (just
so I'd have something) though I'm not sure I'm going to stay there. I'd rather
not have ads on my pages (of course). The good side of this is that FreeServers
doesn't care if you use your pages to make money!

Brickenrocker lives, but it is kinda scattered amongst a few ZIP discs. Take a
lesson from me: backup everything in an orderly fashion to make restoring a
page or a site much easier. I still have everything but I have to hunt for it.
The laziness factor has had an overriding input, and I apologize to Sproaticus,
especially since I told him awhile back that I'd post one of his cool musical
MOCs at Brickenrocker :) (I haven't forgotten!)

Meanwhile, I've had two offers of where I could keep my site, both of which
came from lego maniacs. Y'all are truly kind! I might go with baylug.org and
sort of "earn my keep" cuz I'm signed up to do their space section.

(...) Ah yes, the laziness factor - I suffered from it as well. Actually, the stupidity factor came into effect too. I ALWAYS have my current work burned on a CD weekly and backed up daily on a separate hard drive on a separate computer. So one day (...) (25 years ago, 7-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)
