I thought of using old "D-size" batteries; I used 4 of them, but they were
not even close to enough. I'm thinking of placing them higher, and maybe
"covering" the track with them - but, like I said earlier, space may become
a problem. My dad suggested I might want to use 1kg flour/sugar/rice as a
test-weight... after all, they are widely available, and can fit any space! :-P
With cables/pulleys, do you mean something like the drawbridges in Castles?
If so, I'd need a tower to connect them, wouldn't I?
The Hobart bridge looks close to what I'm trying to do. Is the concrete
block firmly connected to the bridge itself (ie, no relative motion is
possible between the two), or differently?
