Thanks, Adrian! Those parts are Belville bucket handles. I had seen the part
used on the models in The Ultimate LEGO Book, but I didn't know what they were.
Then I saw them at Rich Schamus's house, where I stayed for Brickfest 2000.
Later, I got a bunch in a trade, and have been waiting to use them ever since.
It was quite a pain to get them so close together...they alternate horizontal
and vertical orientations every half stud. I still don't know how LEGO's
designers accomplished a similar idea on their Buick Roadmaster...glue maybe?

| Hi Bram, Wow, nice work! This car looks as cool as the ones in the Miniland/Ultimate LEGO Book and is of the same high standard (Not to mention that it matches the same high standard of YOUR other models). (...) Hey ... I've asked me the same (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)
