Anyway, I know this model has been done to death, but I've had a model since
I was 10, and this is and always will be the coolest starship seen on the
silver screen.  So all the master builders out there, I'd love your input in
how to make this dream possible by putting all of these features into the
fastest bucket of bolts in the galaxy.

Seeing this post mafde we want to look up Ben Fleskes' rendition of the MF.
The last page I have for it is no longer up:

Does anyone know where pics of this great model can be found these days?  Ben?

I've seen his great model, in fact his was the inspiration for much of the
design, and once I get far enough along to show off a bit more than a tangle
of wires on a big flat saucer you'll see quite a few similarities between
Ben's model and mine; then I found a few more designs which had even more
external detail but not as many cool moving parts... my goal has always been
to do one better just because ;) ;)  (Btw, why are all Ben's images
improperly referenced so I had to manually type in the lowercase version of
each image name to get them to display?  A quick global search and replace
for .JPG -> .jpg would make the pages much more easily viewable. :)  I've
also seen the A-10 warthog model shown on this site for references to gimble
designs, but I need to design a fully working gimble that is litterally
4-studs by 4-studs by 6-studs max.  Now THAT is a challenge ;)  These
control surfaces and a viable lighting method are the big last stumbling
blocks that I really need some extra advice for thinking "outside the brick"
;)  Thanks for the input.
