| | | | | Though it messes up your already nice measurements, try making your shaft 5x5 and put plates or tiles vertically on the outside of your 4x4 car so it doesn't flop back and forth so much. What works for me is: I build the elevator shaft larger than the base of the elevator (for a 4x6 elevator car, I build a 6x8 elevator shaft). Then, only in the corners of the elevator (...) Greg, What if you attached a cable to the top of the car, then looped it around a pulley at the top had it continue down the legnth of the shaft to another pulley at the bottom of the shaft then back up to the bottom of the car, making a sort (...)
