I build an elevator based on an idea presented by another rtl-er (don't
remember who):
Build both shaft and cage 4x4, then use 4 corner roof pieces on top and 4
inverse corner roof pieces on the bottom. This will wiggle the cage into the
floor. This way you don't need guiders or side walls and therefore there is
little friction; friction was little enough to let the cage go down without
problems.

| I've seen pictures of people's town buildings that have working elevators in them, and I want to know how you got them to work. I don't want something Technic or motorized. Just something that's minifig scale to fit into a town building. I tried a (...) (26 years ago, 6-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)
