#4793 also includes another piece that interacts with the new
canopies. It is an adapter with 2 technic connectors on one side and
a click hinge on the other side. This piece can be used to create
hinged cockpits with the new windscreens (and it works with either the
upper or lower elements!)
As to the availability of the new pieces, I certainly agree. There
are so many new pieces that I hope that Lego sticks with this new
system for several years so we can stockpile the new elements.
Obviously, some sort of bulk pack would go a long way towards helping
this (hint hint).

| Hey Y'all: After getting the new 4792 set today as a pre-Xmas gift, I have decided that I am getting to like *some* aspects of the new canopy design -- or at the very least, the design and roll-out of these new elements is not as bad as I had (...) (23 years ago, 24-Dec-01, to lugnet.build)
