The face of things to come

I just posted a pic of my new mecha. I'm borrowing a good digital camera Monday so I should have more pictures in a week or so. (URL) McGlone (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha @ Moonbase Io

(...) D.H.B...I like that. The back story for my new mech is similar. The Mech becomes self aware and assimilates the driver (sort of like the Borg). Bryce McGlone (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  2 new MOC's

Here they are: My 2 latest creations. The Star Wars X-wing fighter and Z-95 Headhunter. Ben Quadinaros' podracer will follow next week (if anyone wants to do some ldraw hoses for me I'd be very gratefull). I hope you like em :-) Greetz, Jay And (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My scorpion-towed hover chariot

(...) This has got to be one of the weirdest things I have ever seen built with bricks -- but I like it! Why didn't you just chain the scorpians via their handy top pegs though? And if I may so, I think you need more scorpians to get up to any (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Jury wanted !

I really liked it. I agree that I really liked the gauges, and the headlight. The back side of the front fender was a well selected part. I also like that you don't hide every stude with a smooth tile. I think Lego models need to show their roots. (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Classic Contest Entries

(...) Thanks. I think they were almost more fun than creating the original model :) I Ldrawed the original first so that I could rebuild it if I wanted to. Of course, a vehicle as simple as this guy I could probably rebuild without anything other (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

  My scorpion-towed hover chariot

After the disscussion on scorpion-towed vehicles in .adventurers and off-topic.fun, I built one: (URL) is a hovering chariot, towed by two scorpions, and has place for one passenger (in this case, the Jungle Priestess). The chariot itself is shaped (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Whilst I am glad for bulk ordering, I am still disappointed that we have such a limited choice. I want a big range of windows so (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New 'Quirinius' and 'TigerStark' Mecha

(...) Well, I'm glad you liked the first one. I quite like the squat gorilla-type look to the second. Now that you mention it though, the arms could do with being a little longer. But it's only built from the two sets mentioned. Anyone willing to (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Classic Space set design and building contest

Well drat I have too many pieces tied up in Bardiel to make anything too big but fortunatly Bardiel is only 600 pieces so I should be able to get it in one of these categories. ; ) -Jon "Todd Lehman" <lehman@javanet.com> wrote in message (...)   RE: Classic Contest Entries

(...) finished with my first entry, but I don't know if I'll have the heart to take it apart to attempt some alternate models. I'll definitely need to LDraw first.... --Bram Bram Lambrecht BXL34@po.cwru.edu (URL) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Classic Space set design and building contest

(...) Just how much of your classic space is packed away? I actually found myself on Ebay today looking for second copies of G.E. and S.C. Hard to justify $250-$300 just to keep a MOC intact :-) (...) The front section holds the pilot and a (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

  Re: Classic Contest Entries

(...) Yeah, a classic space astronaut would be counted as 4 by LEGO -- one for each of: - legs - torso + head - helmet - airtank (...) Personally, I'd love to see a polybag set with that much stuff in it. It seems a bit much for what LEGO has put in (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

  Re: Classic Contest Entries

All of my entries will go here: (URL) first entry is: (URL) is a polybag sized ship, with 23 pieces not including pilot, or 27 pieces with the pilot included (A minifig counts as 4 pieces, right? Legs, Torso, backpack, helmet) If it's too big and (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: New Mecha @ Moonbase Io

(...) Thanks Bryce. Actually, I haven't seen Titan A.E. yet, but I'd like to. By the way, my Shocktroopers as well as all my other Vedraan droids technically speaking aren't mecha, but mecha sized robots- what I call a D.H.B.(Droid Host Body). The (...)   Re: Jury wanted !

Thanx! About those tyres: the real bike has a much wider rear tyre. The main reason is that the rear tyre looked really out of place in front and vice versa. By the way: see 8417, also uses a different front tyre... There aren't any really good (...) (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Classic Space set design and building contest

I took the liberty of starting another thread specifically for actual entries. Check this out: (URL) an apology: I already committed a foul. I missed this part of the rules: (...)   Re: Jury wanted !

Great model, Ronald! I'm cuious about one aspact of the bike-the use of two different tire types. Is this for stability? Other than that single gripe, I love it! The exhaust pipes are beautifully done, and the little touches like the guages on the (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build)

  Jury wanted !

Hey guys, please have a look at my latest (and one of the first since the dark ages) MOC. I tried to make a Honda GoldWing (check my homepage at (URL) to see why) at the scale of the LEGOland parks, so 1:20-ish. It's at (URL) and on my homepage. Oh, (...)
