  Re: New Mathematical Lego Sculptures

(...) They have a use if you like "T" shirts! They can fit into space, where there are "M" shirts and "B" shirts. Now, if LEGO would just give us a few vowels to work with... I would be happy to take some Timmy's off your hands! Or whatever you (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.people, lugnet.build, lugnet.fun, lugnet.loc.us.ny.ny)

  Re: More Thomas Engines: James

(...) More simple than that - J2 is refering to the steam dome. He's just confused - not like *that* is anything new!! ;-) JohnG, GMLTC (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: New Mathematical Lego Sculptures

Hey these are really neat. It also makes me wonder. Lugnet seems to go in waves where one person creates something and inspires a bunch of other people to build similar things. After Eric H.'s desk, Henry Lim's Stegosaurus, my Pooh, Marvin, and (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: More Thomas Engines: James

(...) Right you are. Maybe he means a feedwater heater? Those sometimes are outside mounted. ++Lar (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: More Thomas Engines: James

(...) Um. Um um...the _superheater_ goes _inside_ the boiler, not outside :) (of course, it is not the great Lar++, that would be much more fun! he never makes Misteaks!) Nicely done, I like how the boiler is constructed. A Q1 might look good done (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  New Mathematical Lego Sculptures

I have added a small collection of mathematical lego sculptures to my web pages. Check out (URL) include mobius bands, a coupe of knots and some minimal surfaces. All (reasonably constructive) comments gratefully received... Andrew (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.build) !!

  More Thomas Engines: James

Here are some pics of an attempt to model James from the Thomas the Tank Engine stories. It was a joint effort between me and my 11 year old son. We tried to be as faithful to the original model of James from the videos (spent lots of time searching (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: What is Oasis Ambush?

(...) It's an oasis because there is a tree growing in the middle of the desert, so there is water (inferred) and it is an ambush because you are lured there by a nice palm tree and what appears to be treasure, but it really contains a scarry mummy (...)   Sam or Baron?!

I know everyone in America has noticed this. In the Dino Island theme, S@H and Lego Mania Magazine both refer the Baron Von Baron (Mr. Hates) minifig is the Sam Sinister (Slyboots) minifigure! It does not make any sense! "Baron Von Baron" is now (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  What is Oasis Ambush?

Hello Everyone! I know that someone besides me has wondered this, but what exactly is the Lego Egyptian Adventurers Set "5938 Oasis Ambush" all about? Well the name states "Oasis" which is a small body of water in a desert. This set seems not to (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Axle connector pieces

I was asking Todd about axle connectors in AucZilla XIV. (...) The same thing had occured to me.   Re: LEGO Survivor Early Voting Underway!

Re: LEGO Survivor Early Voting Underway!

(...) Youre giving Timmy way too much credit here. I'm trying to rack my brain for some analogy for the existense of Timmy in LEGO to another situation real or fictional. I CAN'T FIND ONE!!   Re: LDRAW Office Building

Thanks, I have to admit that I got that idea from someone else who used it on their trains stations. Does anyone know if LEGO actually makes those gears in tan?
