I've found Colin Gutierrez's page to be of great value in building hip joints. (URL) I think the head is the most difficult. I like making mine different every time, so it's hard to do without making something that either looks like one of mine or (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) I think a Mars base would be mostly underground too, as you wouldn't get much protection from radiation with Mars' thin atmosphere.
