You did a really good job at bulking up those thro bot pieces! Ive been wrestling with this one for a while for various creations. I came up with a similar solution using the pins and beams you mentioned but you went way past that. I love how lanky (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Nice mecha! However, why does the "Emu" have such large legs, and yet has such a small upper "body"? As for the new technique, it's been here since, Ron & Randy, Karim Nassar, Me, and many, many other mecha builders. Again, nice mecha! (...) After recently aquiring several 2x1 two-hole and 1x1 beam bricks from LEGO S@H, as well as several 1x4 grill mounting plates and 3' friction pins, I've developed a new technique for adding badly needed "studded bulk" to the throwbot limbs in my (...) (...) I'd have to agree with John on this one. I would say that anything sold under the LEGO trademark, which can somehow be connected to a 2x4 LEGO brick, including doing so by any sequence of parts is certainly a LEGO building element, and thus (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)
