  Aves

For cryin' out loud... last week I posted the pics of Aves and the Payback, and I just realized I forgot to add the HTML for the pics of Aves. That's what I get for staying up until 1AM on a weeknight. :^P Anyway, here they are... Aves, my custom (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.space)

  Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update!

Thanks, Todd. Actually, I used friction pins at the shoulder and hip. I like the click-hinges because they allow me to make incremental poses, so I usually use them at joints that don't require more than 90 degrees of movement. I suppose I could (...)   Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update!

(...) are done with SWs hinges instead of the discontinued high-friction pins (I hate those things). I've been considering building a realy large anthropoid mech that way, even though I'm so partial to Throwbot limbs. By the way, cool elevating (...)   Re: NEW LMF MECHA: Micronaut

It looks to me like the problem is a JavaScript error, and it is most probably caused by that sponsor frame at the bottom of your site. Do you have any control over that, or else could you find a different host? (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Does anyone use "distressed" lego?

(...) bent (...) salvage (...) Sure Frank, that'd be great. But I thought the J boxes were for putting in as good as you got? This kinda leads me to the question, Do I put in damaged pieces as I pull them out? :-) -Tom McD. when replying, (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: NEW LMF MECHA: Micronaut

Hey John! It looks great. You seem to be able to capture the "husky" mecha feel very well. Another thing you could do for some variation is slap a minifig head w/helmet on there and it would look like powered armor. I'm definitely going to examine (...)   Re: NEW LMF MECHA: Micronaut

Re: Does anyone use "distressed" lego?

(...) yes, i also have a bag of distressed bricks that i keep around for various things. one of my favorite simple schemes was to screw an eye hook into the short side of a red 2x4 brick. it's my keychain! i attatch a blue 2x4 and yellow 2x4 to the (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: NEW LMF MECHA: Micronaut

(...) Great models! You really captured the 'transformer' feel. I kept getting runtime errors on your web page. Do you have some shock wave or such things on them? (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: NEW LMF MECHA: Micronaut

Thanks for the feedback, Amazingly enough I was listening to Techno (Chemical brothers) music when I made it. the direct url for the model is (URL) any others who like or dislike (...) a (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: NEW LMF MECHA: Micronaut

(...) Wow. You've captured the boxy-limbed "feel" of mecha very nicely in so few pieces -- and I absolutely love that shoulder design. I'm still trying to figure out the hip joints (1); you've crammed a lot of articulation into such a tiny area! An (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) do the gears on the back do anything? I noticed that the cockpit uses some technic pieces and I thought that maybe the gears on the back opened and retracted the cockpit. -Bryan (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Does anyone use "distressed" lego?

Re: Another Update to Keppler Industries

(...) Mmm..I especially like the Black Panther. Easily one of your best. Coloring is good, and the usage of the aquanauts canopy on the side of the nose is interesting. Cool stuff. Sam Wiley (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Does anyone use "distressed" lego?

(...) Ugh! Hey, if you guys want broken/dirty bricks, I've got a quart or so of 'em. Definitely have no use for them, other than nostalgia. I can still pretty much remember which of my brothers broke which one when we were kids. ;-0 Sam Wiley (24 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)
