  Re: Knight in shining armor...

(...) I figured it's made of two chrome headlights, like the ones in the front of <set:5771>. It took me a while to figure it out, though... (I think it was at least a year after first seeing it ;-) -Shiri (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) crystals...) (...) What about the helmet? is that a helmet that was ever releases or was it 2 hubcabs or something put together? Cj "the Puzzled" Catuogno (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

My First Mecha and a new fighter

I just uploaded some images of my first mecha model. It is not like most of the mecha designs out there so i refer to it as a walker. The thing it reminds me most of is an AT-AT though there isn't really much of a resemblence. The model is highly (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Wooden guard barracks

(...) I was thinking I overdid that a bit. In a couple of cases, the equipment for one fighter just barely fits on his bed! (...) I'm game. Beware that all those grey bricks are Megabloks, however! It must be getting time for our next get-together. (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

  Re: New Ship: "Mosquito" Fighter/Bomber

Thanks Jeremy... Well that's about it... Thanks again! Mladen Pejic... Dad! Whatcha! Buy at Toys-R-Us for ME! All in all it's just another brick in the wall! - altered Pink Floyd song - (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Ship: "Mosquito" Fighter/Bomber

Yes my friend Bramius, like the finest wine in all of this great kingdom, I get better with age... Jokes aside, thanks for the nice comments Bram, now it's time for you guys to do better, I say BETTER than ME! ;-) I just can't believe nobody (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Ship: "Mosquito" Fighter/Bomber

Thanks a lot Jim, I first built the bomb caches, and then saw that I could add the wings on the side, and yada, yada, yada, ended up with the "Mosquito"! Hope that was as vague as it could be... ;-) (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Work in progress: World Trade Center. Some photos too.

(...) Hmm... in my last (and very weird) town MOC, I had an elevator that sort-of worked, but manually (on a string and lego pulley). It was not a pretty sight, I can suffice to say; but it worked and I liked it... -Shiri (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Work in progress: World Trade Center. Some photos too.

Bram: No, they're fixed. I wanted to make real elevator doors & elevator shafts, but given the facade of the building, I decided not to. Plus it gives me more building space in the upper floors. I'd like to implement real elevators eventually, but I (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

(...) I agree. I especially like the way you built the wings. Seems like you just keep getting better... --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o \ BramL@juno.com ---...---oooo-----(_...o---...--- WWW: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

Johnathan: Dont I know it! I cant wait for Lego Direct! :) In the meantime, I've determined that I'll need about 50 of the 1200pc bulk buckets for each of the buildings. Ouch! Thats 100 buckets total! (I'm praying Auczilla will have some white 1x1s (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

Mark, To answer your questions: 1) Nope, they don't fall apart at the shoulders too easily. I have problems with the feet falling off sometimes, but I haven't found a really good way of getting full posability out of the ankles any other way (and (...)   Re: New Creation: Pheonix W

(...) Au contraire, mon Legomaniac. :-, Space vehicles don't necessarily need to look "solid" in order to be structurally sound. An example would be the Lunar Lander, which endured some significant g's while landing. Another example, perhaps better, (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: New Creation: Pheonix W

I suppose I'm offering criticism, but please accept it as constructive :) IMO, the ship looks a bit too "flimsy" to withstand the high-G forces of high-speed flight. Your ship looks like more of a lo-G glider to my eye. I tend to build mine SOLID (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

Hi Dave, Your mecha are beautiful as always, but I have a couple of questions: 1) Doesn't the use of a single peg at the shoulder make your mecha difficult to pose? It seems like they'd fall apart if you try to extend the arm forward. Do you use the (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

  Re: Wooden guard barracks

(...) Hey, cool. I really like the interior detailing. The rooms look "in use", which is tricky to do. I especially like the armoury. (Hey - do you want to get together and figure out a "standard" for curtain wall sections? We've got enough (...) (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

Very nice work Sean! That exterior is going to look very very impressive as it grows higher. I like the elevators and the lobby, too, you put some nice human touches in there! Kevin (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

Glad to help out. Let's see some of your stuff. If you've got some pics, you can email them to me, I'd like to see what you've got. -Dave Jr. (24 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)
