  Re: New Creation: Pheonix W

I suppose I'm offering criticism, but please accept it as constructive :) IMO, the ship looks a bit too "flimsy" to withstand the high-G forces of high-speed flight. Your ship looks like more of a lo-G glider to my eye. I tend to build mine SOLID (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

Hi Dave, Your mecha are beautiful as always, but I have a couple of questions: 1) Doesn't the use of a single peg at the shoulder make your mecha difficult to pose? It seems like they'd fall apart if you try to extend the arm forward. Do you use the (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

  Re: Wooden guard barracks

(...) Hey, cool. I really like the interior detailing. The rooms look "in use", which is tricky to do. I especially like the armoury. (Hey - do you want to get together and figure out a "standard" for curtain wall sections? We've got enough (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

Re: Work in progress: World Trade Center. Some photos too.

Very nice work Sean! That exterior is going to look very very impressive as it grows higher. I like the elevators and the lobby, too, you put some nice human touches in there! Kevin (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

Glad to help out. Let's see some of your stuff. If you've got some pics, you can email them to me, I'd like to see what you've got. -Dave Jr. (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

(...) Well Dave, you described it just fine for me. Now that you explained it and knowing what to look for, I have a better understanding of your joint design! Your idea is very simplistic and no where near what I had come up with. My joints, (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

  Re: I have a question.

(...) I'm thinking of the Samurai body armor on top of an Adventurer outfit would work also. That armor piece is the closest thing in Legoland to a football player's outfit that I can think of... Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

I have a tough time describing the parts I use, but I'll give it a whirl. I've found the best hip joints are the black technic peg hinges. They consist of 2 parts, on one end of each part is a half technic peg and the other is a 3 or 2 finger hinge. (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

(...) I have to admit Dave that your designs have be an inspriration to me in building my on mecha. Over Easter weekend, I took some time to start working on different types of hands, feet and especially the joints. I was wondering if you would care (...)   Re: New Ship: "Mosquito" Fighter/Bomber

Very Cool design!!! I liked the way the bomb chutes(sp?) are blended with the wings. It makes the ship more 3d, that is something that I am still working on with my models. of course, I like any model that can seperate into smaller units which you (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

THE best? Well, that's saying a lot, thanks. I think Karim's transforming Dragon mech is still the best Lego mecha I've seen. My two latest are probably the best Gundam-ish mecha anyone's built to date IMO. BTW, I'm going to be posting some windows (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

Re: Work in progress: World Trade Center. Some photos too.

Impressive, (which I have come to expect from you)! I can imagine just how much 1x1 and 1x2 bricks you are going to need, but it will be worth it. So far the design is very effective. I also like the details you always add in such as the elevators, (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

Thanks Pat, I built the Saidin Mecha first, and it was by far my best micro-fig scale mecha to date. I recently tore apart all my other stuff (X-wing, B-wing, most of my VO mechs), and I decided to try another mecha in the same vein as the Saidin. (...)   Re: Some more MGLM Mecha

Thanks. Actually, several of the mecha on my site are directly modeled from Virtual On Cyber Troopers, the Temjin, Fei Yen, Dorkas, Viper II, and Bal Bas Bow. The Golden and Silhouette are inspired by VO, but not directly modeled after any specific (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build)

  LEGO Project Paper...

...I fixed my LEGO project paper some and added an isometric (top, front, side) project pad. I redid some of the work on the original papers to make the PDF files much smaller in this increment. And this time included a Mini-fig doodle paper for no (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.announce) !

Re: Work in progress: World Trade Center. Some photos too.

(...) This is just the kind of gap lego direct can fill, where you dont need to humt for ages for the parts you want, just call lego direct and place the order, at cheaper than ebay prices. (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

Work in progress: World Trade Center. Some photos too.

Greetings all! I have broken ground on my latest project for my City... the twin towers! This is going to be a long term project, so I've posted some in-progress photos on my website at (URL) . There's a quick blurb about the building, and then a (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build, lugnet.publish) !

Re: Over-sized Easter Egg plans on Brickshelf

(...) Haven't you realised by now that this type of insanity is valued as a definite PRO inside the Lugnet-community. We realy need your kind of breed! (...) Insanily clever ! And thank you for the plans. M. Moolhuysen. (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)
