  St. Peter's Basilica

My next Lego landmark: St. Peter's Basilica. Or should I say a cathedral based on St. Peter's Basilica? Clearly the colors are wrong but that was a matter of economics coupled with the amazing pieces I found at the Disney pick-a-brick. Also, by (...)   Re: Sheldon Brown (1944 - 2008)

(...) Ah yes. There's nothing quite as funny as a good April fools joke. Sheldon's were among the best. (...) Thanks for the feedback, and for the spotlight. Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 8-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) He will be missed, especially his April Fools posts. A fittingly simple vignette. Very touching. Spotlighted. (17 years ago, 8-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: New mecha: Tyr

(...) Hey, Eric The colors are tan, white, light gray, and a small amount of black. glad you liked it! Jon (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mecha: Tyr

Hey, this is a good one! Is that tan, or dark tan or something? I like those white slopes too! I started to realize more about this build when I looked at the pictures of the side view. Good work! Eric Sophie (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mecha: Tyr

(...) Thanks, Richie As far as the shoulders, they were made oversized on purpose. There are a couple of old Battletech designs such as the Charger, Griffin, and the Hatamoto that had armor baffles on their shoulders. Glad you liked it!! -Jon (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Sheldon Brown (1944 - 2008)

(URL) The cyclist is gone, but the cycle remains. (URL) Sheldon Brown> 1944 - 2008. To the cycling community he was a leader, a hero and a guru. And a little eccentric. I take my cycling helmet off to him. Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX) !

  Re: New mecha: Tyr

(...) Nice work, Jon! I particularly like the choice of colours - subtle, but interesting. One minor criticism: the shoulders seem a little broad, a studs width of two off each side would help, I think. Spotlighted! Cheers Richie Dulin (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Hoth LEGO Store Display

Due to the great feedback on the (URL) first MOC> that I've done for the LEGO store at Bridgewater Mall in New Jersey, I've been asked to build a new one to replace it. The theme this time is Hoth which many will recognize as a composite of previous (...) (17 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  GP-9 Locomotive & 136-Stud Truss Bridge

Just finished up a couple new Train MOC's this week and figured I'd share with the community. First up is my take on the EMD GP-9. The EMD GP9 is a 4-axle diesel locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between January 1954 and (...)
