I had them set to l3lab for a while; l3lab didn't come up as quickly as it pops up dialog boxes if it hits any errors in the file which slows down the action. hmmm, I wish I had read further before I replied to Stephen's post a few minutes earlier. I think that an isometric grid would not work too well without some distortion.
